Symposium on Transforming Culture

March 15 - March 16

President Dr. Andrew Seeley, Dean of Fellows Dr. Jeffrey Lehman, and Senior Fellow Dr. Erik Ellis presented at a colloquium session at the Symposium on Transforming Culture. Dr. Seeley presented on The Formative Power of Choral Music. Dr. Lehman presented on Boethius and the Liberal Art of Music. Dr. Ellis presented on “Whatever Greeks acquire from foreigners is finally turned by them into something nobler:” Plato’s Epinomis and the Origins of the Quadrivium.

This annual conference is held on the campus of Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. The Symposium brings together scholars, business leaders, field professionals and students for a time of fellowship, reflection and dialogue concerning topics integral to the Catholic faith and its transformative role in our society, culture and business.
